The trail markers Zac installed has been very helpful to hikers and bikers who use the trail. They also put a nice finishing touch on the trails. Zac's younger brother, Dakota, is now working on a Boy Scout project of his own which includes expanding the trail Zac worked on to include access to Cedar Creek.
Hard work from volunteers like these is the lifeline for the Farmington Nature Park. It is this type of dedication that makes the park special and the uniting of local residents who desire to create a place that will be enjoyed by hundreds of people each year.
There is still many projects to do and many ways you can help. You can join the Park Committee to help further the construction of the park, be a volunteer who helps to maintain the park by keeping the trails clear, spraying the weeds along the graveled trail and other jobs, or you can donate toward the park fund.
Be a part of our mission to "Preserve the Past to Promote the Future".
